Deputy Studio Team Manager

What will you be doing?

  • As Studio Team Manager you’ll manage a team of 7 Graphic Designers, 1 Videographer and 1 UX/UI/ Web Designer to ensure that the team can deliver projects across the organisation to the highest possible standards.
  • You will be the first point of contact for all things design within the company, so it is essential that you have experience of working within a creative team and experience in Adobe Creative Suite to have a thorough understanding of the creative process.
  • You will create and refine briefs for the Studio team, ensuring they align with the agreed business objectives while constantly reviewing workloads and deadlines to maximise the efficiency and the creativity of the team and providing support throughout projects.
  • Adopt a close relationship with other departments such as Project Management, Marketing, Sales, and Retail Growth Teams to empathise with shopper, retailer, and brand problems and co-ordinate various creative projects across the business.
  • Be a Jisp brand ambassador for all creative work created and have a keen eye for detail throughout the creative process.
  • You will be required to have great project management,organisational and prioritisation skills working closely with the Project team.
  • Work closely with the Studio team, scheduling regular well-being check ins and assisting with their developmentand training.
  • Be vocal with your opinions with a human approach to problem-solving to contribute during company meetings.
  • Ensure quality management and provide administrative documents for the Studio department’s work to support the business ISO 9001 Standard.
  • Have the ability and creativity to work on various design tasks when required to assist with the team’s workload.

Required Skills:

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong management skills and experience in Project Management tools.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of brand identity.
  • Keen attention to detail with great spelling and grammar.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, software, and techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically; Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • A portfolio (digital or print) that demonstrates a variety of design examples.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with experience using Microsoft Teams would be nice to have.
  • Solid skills in MicrosoftPowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

Schedule and Location:

  • 4 day working week hours - 8am-5.30pm
  • Alton, GU34 1AW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Salary:

  • Starting at £30,000 a year, however, negotiable dependent on experience and skills

Supplemental pay Types:

  • Performance Bonus
  • Yearly bonus

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Management: 2 years (preferred)
  • Design (Graphic or other relative role): 2 years (preferred)
